George Strait is a very popular and familiar personality in America. He is a great American singer, actor and music producer. He is as well known as ‘King of Country’. His achievement started when his first single ‘Unwound’ was a hit in 1981. During the 1980s, 7 of his albums reached number one on the country plans. In the 2000s, George Strait was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music, was chosen into the Country Music Hall of Fame & got his first Grammy award for the album Troubadour. He has sold more than 70 million albums in the U.S and his certifications from the RIAA contain thirteen multi-platinum, thirty three platinum & thirty eight gold albums. George Strait best-selling album is Pure Country in 1992, which sold 6 million (6× platinum).
