Massive
Outdoor LED Display Prudential Center announced " George Strait . Sold "
And the streets of Newark , New Jersey, have probably never seen so
many cowboy hats, the more significant against the cold winds of March
as urban cowboys cowgirls keep their close Friday night and headed to the stage on Saturday night ( March 1 ) .
This is a " historic night ," said opening ceremony Martina McBride. In the country, where country music is enjoying a resurgence largest metropolitan area , Strait had come for his swan song. A
recording artist for three decades, and a veteran on tour longer,
Strait holds the record for the most No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot
Country Songs . And this was the New York regional stop at The Cowboy Rides Away Tour,
a two-year swing Strait says will be his last tour , though he probably
still sing live for your events .

McBride
, who later would have a guest star turn during the execution of the
Strait, charmed the audience during his opening set. While the shortage of women solo starring success has drawn attention
lately, McBride has hit 20-year record of decisions , track list of
Billboard Hot Country Songs .

McBride
won the crowd that still come with their successes , like " teenage
girls " , ironic and tired of the long term vision of " This is for
girls " , and adult history of devotion "I'm to love her. " and she in advance for your next " " album, a
collection of iconic soul and R & B tracks produced by Don Was,
singing a cover of Elvis Presley murderer " Everlasting Suspicious Minds
" .
Martina McBride Sets ' Everlasting ' Album
This was the last night of McBride at this stage of the tour of the Strait. But
she is due to join a bill of stars - along with Jason Alden, Kenny
Chesney, Eric Church, Vince Gill , Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda
Lambert , Lee Ann Womack and Asleep At The Wheel - when Strait plays the last date of the Cowboy Rides away tour on June 7 at the AT & T stadium in Arlington, Texas, outside Dallas.
Strait Views arenas with a central stage. So
he and his Ace in the Hole Band Saturday night came across a passage
floor crammed with barricades multitudes , their smartphone cameras
flashing fans . From the heels of his boots to his hat brim black Resistol cowboy ,
Strait had every rodeo rider who has long been - but with a compelling
thousand watt smile .
"The
Fireman " opened the show with his characteristic sly lyric ( "Making
my rounds all over town , the extinction of old flames ") and a hot
Western swing attack . The preparation phase contributed to the feeling of the series of privacy. A
fan in the front row seat folded his hands as if in prayer , facing the
strait , and that turned into a love story of the childhood of " Check
Yes or No" , then in the charts singing "Ocean Front Property , "followed by waves of gentle piano of " Marina del Rey " .
Strait moods turned musical taste , as if guiding a favorite horse on a difficult path . Accompany
it with expertise is the ace of 11 pieces in the side of the hole: Mike
Daily on pedal steel guitar , Gene Elders on fiddle lead , Benny
McArthur on fiddle and guitar , Rick McRae on guitar and violin Ronnie Huckaby on keyboards , John Michael Whitby on keyboards and
guitar , Joe Manuel on acoustic guitar , Terry Hale on bass , Mike
Kennedy on drums, and singers Marty Slayton and Thom Flora adding
harmonies.
Promoter
Strait lifetime, Luis Messina , president / CEO of TMG / AEG Live, said
between racks on the wide age range of the fans that have made this
trip a sell out . While many in Saturday's show clearly Straits have been following for decades , fans in the teens and 20s helped fill the room. A row of teenage boys children sang along with the successes of both old and new sides of the Strait .
Certainly, the enthusiasm of the younger fans has been boosted by the
arrival in New York last year Nash as the flagship FM Country Cumus
Media format , which had a promotional presence at the fair Strait .
And strait setlist did cover the years . The
jaunty "Blame It On Mexico " will all return to their 1981 debut album "
Strait Country . " And his latest upbeat hit " I Got A Car " from her
latest album MCA Nashville "Love is everything " deserved a place among the classic gems of the show on Saturday. Favorite
Composers Strait of making poetry from the names of places in his
native Texas, from "I can still make Cheyenne" to " Amarillo By Morning .
" And fans who know every letter of the successes of the Straits are
the therefore some of the best love stories , tales of bars and wordplay in country music .
Halfway
through the show, announced a surprise Strait , calling out " Mar
-teen- ah! " McBride returned to the stage for two duets with narrow
dynamic . First,
sang " Jackson" memorable recorded in 1967 , both by Lee Hazelwood and
Nancy Sinatra as a single burst , then in June and Johnny Cash as a
country beaten . So Close and McBride took "Golden Ring ," a 1976 chart-topper reigning
king and queen of the country, George Jones and Tammy Wynette .
Strait currently reigns as the CMA Entertainer of the Year , winning the honor last November for the third time in 23 years. That was not a sentimental vote. The ability Strait move your audience is still undeniable, even in this last tour . No
doubt his talent lies first in an unerring ability to choose the
remarkable songs from the best writers in Nashville and beyond. But beyond their song choices and his incredible band , Strait on Saturday showed compelling stage presence and vocal power .
There are some other great American vocalists in any genre - the late
Frank Sinatra comes to mind - you can convey intense emotion with so
much stress and underestimation as George Strait.
The imminent departure of close circuit live tours came into focus with four songs toward the end of their basic package . "I
'll Always Remember You" brought a brief monologue singer who recalled
that when he began his career, thought he would be around "maybe" five
years. " When I walk out of this last scenario ," he told the crowd: " I'll always remember ."
"Give It All We Got Tonight" continue the reflective mood . Then " Troubadour " brought an appropriate letter: " I was a young
troubadour / when I wrote [ CQ ] in a song / And I'll be an old
troubadour / when I'm gone . "
" Unwound " gave the honky-tonk romp of a singer whose wife has kicked him out of the house.
An encore brought more surprises like Strait and the band ripped into "You Wreck Me , " by Tom Petty. The
following , with his humor as fresh as ever , came "All My Ex Live In
Texas " ("and that's why I hang my hat in Tennessee " ) , followed by
the love song that travels called "Run . " Another great brought the show to cover such a narrow peak took Johnny Cash " Folsom Prison blues " . And then strait rightly dismissed with "The Cowboy Rides Away. " The
house lights came up and , figuratively, at least the sun was setting on
the plains of Texas.
