A burly candidate for 2014 ACM
Entertainer of the Year, George Strait remembers his most devoted admirers
in a just-released ACM video. The video starts with Strait crooning the lyrics

the devotees he’s been touched by. “I will see devotees that I saw in 1981,
1982 when I first began going out on tour. One girl held up a symbol that said
’200 concerts.’ 200 shows!” Strait exclaims. “That’s a lot.”
Interspersed throughout the video,
which gives confidence admirers to obtain online & vote for Strait, is
footage from speeches the ‘Give It All We Got Tonight’ singer has provided
through the years, along with clips from earlier gigs.“If it all ended
tomorrow, I will always keep in mind those days, those nights onstage — the
screams & the cheers.”Goarge Strait’s quest for Entertainer of the Year is
asking devotees to build him the Entertainer of a Lifetime; his last time
winning the important award was in 1989, more than twenty five years ago!
